What I Do

Streaming is one of my all-time favorite hobbies! On my Youtube channel (yes, I'm one of the weirdos who stream on there instead of Twitch) I do regular livestreams centered around me playing video games! Mostly Nintendo first-party titles like Mario and Zelda, but I occasionally switch it up and play a few indies.

One of my favorite things to do in gaming is 100% completion, wherein one goes above and beyond the main objectives of a game to fully complete all sidequests, collect all collectables, and do any other task that might need doing! As such, I have several long-running completion series on my channel, which you can read all about below! :D

Ongoing Series

100% Completing Every Mario Game

The Super Mario series has been my favorite series in gaming since I was a wee young fawn. So, for my first ever 100% completion series, I thought it would be fitting to tackle all the mainline Mario games! The series began with Super Mario 64 on August 1, 2023, with the original goal of completing only the 3D games in a time limit of 1 month. Shortly after, however, I expanded the series to encompass all the mainline games!

Throughout the series, I revisited many games from my childhood such as Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros. However, I had never before played a considerable amount of the games, such as Super Mario Sunshine. That game took over 50 hours, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found the game to be extremely charming! But other games, not so much. Super Mario Land only took an hour and a half but I found it to be incredibly frustrating and nearly unplayable.

Over 120 episodes later, and only one game remains: Super Mario Odyssey. I will be beginning my 100% completion playthrough of Super Mario Odyssey starting in March, and I expect it to all of that month plus a little bit of April. It's the biggest game in the series so far, and it will make a fitting ending to this multi-year long journey!

100% Completing Every Zelda Game

I've also always been a fan of the Zelda series, particularly of A Link Between Worlds, which got me through countless long car rides as a kid. Ever since I began the Mario completion series, the idea of doing a similar series for all the Zelda games had been floating around my head. However, what got me to finally start the series was Nintendo's announcement of the impending discontinuation of the Nintendo Network online service, which would render Triforce Heroes impossible to 100%. So, on April 1 2024, I kickstarted the series and proceeded to speedrun through all of Triforce Heroes in a week with the help of some online friends (it was stressful...)

Currently, after over 40 episodes I've only actually completed one game in the series, Wind Waker. That's because I only did the multiplayer component of Triforce Heroes and because I'm currently in the middle of A Link Between Worlds! Nonetheless, you can track my progress towards completing all the games with this handy dandy spreadsheet, which compiles the completion requirements for every game :3
